We invite members to submit their pictures for
publication on this page.
They can be of your group's activities or of local
scenes. We will also publish pictures of other subjects that might be of
interest.
The first three show Weston-super-Mare in different
moods. The first one, taken by Peter Watson is of the land train that takes
holiday makers and others along the front in the summer months, and the next
two, by Graham Max, are of Weston front at a time when not many people are
strolling along it.

A couple of pictures taken at the Information Day held
on 4th September 2008
Keith Anderson presented another of his Celebration of
Words and Wit events at the Town Hall on the 16th May, including the annual
Speaking Contest. There follows a
picture of the proud winners displaying their trophies.

The following picture was taken by Gordon Grice at the Somerset Levels.
Although not a member of Weston U3A Gordon has provided invaluable help in the
setting up and running of this web site.
Graham Max,
whose technical expertise is a tremendous asset to our Computer Group, is also
an extremely accomplished photographer. He is mainly interested in taking
portraits (and these can include those of animals and flowers as well as
people) that use a variety of photographic styles to depict different aspects
of a subject's personality. The following three examples illustrate this
perfectly. They are of Cheryl, a beautiful girl, beautifully photographed.

Computer
Group members John and Sylvia Moore are intrepid travelers whose recent
expeditions have taken them to spots as divergent as Greenland and the Great
Barrier Reef. Their last voyage was a cruise round the coast of South America
with a foray into the Falkland Islands and Antarctica. As a proof, they have
sent us the following three pictures.
Another member of our group who is a dab hand at photography is Alan Wickham.

The following picture of the Walking Group taken on one of their recent
expeditions has been sent to us by John Derrick. We expect to receive another
picture of the group walking on water in the near future.
